Basic Lan Network Troubleshooting

  1. Check cables and connections: Make sure that all cables are properly connected and secure, and that there are no visible signs of damage or wear. Also check that light are blinking properly when you connect LAN cable.

  2. Check IP addresses: Make sure that all devices have unique IP addresses, and that they are correctly configured. You can use the "ipconfig" command in Windows or the "ifconfig" command in Linux to view the IP address configuration of a device.

  3. Disable and re-enable network adapters: On each device, go to the network adapter settings and disable and re-enable the adapter.

  4. Check for interference: Interference from other devices, such as cordless phones or microwaves, can cause problems with a LAN. Try moving your devices away from these other devices to see if that resolves the issue.
